The Lineage Piece Shun Shun Rikka Traces are just a small part of the Vasto Lorde questline. Keep in mind that you can’t unlock the Vasto Lorde weapon if you don’t already have the Tensa Zangetsu weapon in Lineage Piece.

Lineage Piece Shun Shun Rikka
The Shun Shun Rikka Shards are part of the Vasto Lorde obtainment process. They’re required right at the start of the questline, with plenty more steps to complete afterwards.
Where to Find All 5 Shun Shun Rikka Traces
Trace 1
- From the pink Teleport crystal, look to the left to find the nearest pillar. Go to the top of this pillar to find the first Shun Shun Rikka Shard
Trace 2
- Next to the building where the level 3,000 Arrancar NPC stands outside, directly across the island from where Trace 1 is
Trace 3
- Jump on top of the main domed building at Hueco Mundo. When facing the sea, turn to the left to see the glow of Trace 3 close to a pillar, which you can easily get to
Trace 4
- From Trace 2’s location, jump onto the large rock behind. The giant skeleton should be to the left of you. Ahead, you can see the glow of a Shun Shuna Rikka Trace. Make your way over to it by the water
Trace 5
- Go to the main building on Hueco Mundo Island [the one that has a portal to Inner Hueco Mundo]. At the entrance of this building, there’s the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC to the left and the Vasto Lorde NPC to the right. From the Vasto Lorde NPC, walk around the side of the building to find Trace 5
Unlocking Vasto Lorde in Lineage Piece
As the Shun Shun Rikka Traces are part of the questline to unlock Vasto Lorde, I might as well go over the other steps, too. I’ll start from the very beginning.
- Speak with the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC to unlock the Shun Shun Rikka Traces quest. You cannot pick up this quest if you don’t have the Tensa Zangetsu weapon
- Find the 5 Shun Shun Rikka Traces [Quest 1]
- The next quest automatically unlocks, which requires you to defeat 275 NPCs with the Tensa Zangetsu weapon [Quest 2]
- After this, your next task is to use any of the Tensa Zangetsu skills 300 times [Quest 3]
- Finally, you must defeat Vizard Ichigo 15 times on Hard or Extreme difficulty [Quest 4]
- Speak with the Inner Hueco Mundo NPC once again to find out which items you need
- Once you have the required items, enter Inner Hueco Mundo to complete the Raid which includes a boss that has a 16.5% chance of dropping the Vasto Lorde’s Soul
- You need 2 Vasto Lorde’s Souls to unlock the Vasto Lorde weapon
Required Items to Enter Inner Hueco Mundo
As I mentioned in step 6 above, there are a few items you need unlock Inner Hueco Mundo, including:
- 3x Broken Vizard Masks
- 5x Zangetsu’s Despair
- 12x Corrupted Reiatsu
- 35x Hollow’s Instincts
All of these items have the potential to drop from the Vizard Ichigo boss.
Vasto Lorde Raid
Surprise surprise, after you’ve ‘purchased’ Vasto Lorde, you then need to enter Inner Hueco Mundo to take part in the Ulquiorra Raid whilst also protecting Orihime for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, a cutscene plays, and the fight continues.
Upon defeat, this boss has a 16.5% chance of dropping the Vasto Lorde’s Soul item, which you need two of to unlock the Vasto Lorde weapon, so good luck.
How to Summon Vizard Ichigo
Find the Bleach Summoner NPC standing by a tree outside the Inner Hueco Mundo portal building. Speaking with this NPC opens up the Summon window for various Bleach-inspired bosses, including Vizard Ichigo.
The spawn requirements are:
- 1x Tainted Soul Pill
- 25x Summon Cores
- 50K Coins
- 750 Gems
For the obtainment of Vasto Lorde specifically, you need to select the Hard or Extreme difficulty when spawning Vizard Ichigo. This doesn’t change the required materials or the amounts you need, but make sure to choose the correct difficulty; otherwise, you’ll waste resources.
