All Anomalies In Anomaly Cafe

Anomaly Cafe is pretty forgiving in terms of its anomalies… maybe because it’s making you stress out about burning the pancakes in the kitchen too. Still you need to be on your guard and while there aren’t quite as many anomalies as Animal Hospital, you don’t want to let them it. That’s why we make this guide to all anomalies in Anomaly Cafe to give you a quite reference for what to check.

All Anomalies In Anomaly Cafe

How These Signs Work

The different weird Anomaly clues can appear on different modes. (Unlike say, Scary Shwarma Kiosk where each person had their own weird traits unique to them.) You can, and often do get more than one sign showing up at once. By anomaly game standards, Anomaly Cafe’s skinwalkers are pretty easy to spot once you know what you’re looking for. That said, at the time of writing the full release isn’t out yet, so we’re probably only seeing a small taste of the range of weirdos. We’ll try to add new anomalies as we find them in subsequent updates.

Weird Grin

Screenshot from Anomaly Cafe showing an anomalous customer. The customer appears to be a grey bear, with a huge, toothy, kind of sinister grin.

A wide, sinister grin on the face of a customer is usually bad news. Smirking isn’t necessarily a bad sign, but features that look really exaggerated like the one listed above tend to mean Anomaly.

Meat Man

Screenshot from Anomaly Cafe showing an anomalous customer, a rabbit with blank eyes, a toothy mouth, and skin that looks like raw steak.

This one isn’t exactly hard to spot. The meat skin, the scary grin, and saying things that are really creepy make them pretty easy to turn away.

Hollow Eyes

Screenshot from Anomaly Cafe showing an anomalous customer sitting at a table. It resembles a being cat with no mouth or nose, and black voids for eyes.

This supposed customer’s eyes are just hollow pits in their head. This customer might show up as an Urgent Order. If they do, rather than giving them food, you should send them on their way with a firm whack with the frying pan.

Ordering ‘Static’

Screenshot showing a grey rabbit customer with their order slip held up. The order reads as 'Static', with its status 'FLAGGED'.

The customer might tell you they want something normal, like a pancake or a waffle, but on examining their order slip it asks for something weird.

Ordering ‘Flour’

Much like the above ‘Static’ order, this is another incidence of Anomalies not understanding how food works, and is a good reason to kick them out.

Cyclops

An individual with one massive eye is definitely a red flag, and should be sent away at the earliest opportunity.

Camera Headbang

Not sure if this guy has a headache, or whether they’re listening to some slow heavy metal music, but it’s weird that it’s not showing up on anything but the CCTV camera.

CCTV Ghost

Screenshot showing a view through the CCTV, with a ghostly white spirit entity, with one eye and a toothy mouth on top of its head, floating in front of the register.

The customer might look normal… or maybe just a little off. It’s hard to tell exactly. The dead giveaway though is on checking the CCTV you see something strange (in your neighbourhood). Definitely an Anomaly and a good reason to pull the lever.

Drawn On Face

Screenshot showing an anomalous customer, a brown raccoon whose facial features appear to have been painted on.

This might be one of the slightly more subtle ones. This supposed customer has a face that looks like it was drawn or painted onto their head. This is extremely suspicious and you should pull the shutter down when you see this.

Too-Realistic Eyes

Screenshot from Anomaly Cafe, showing an anomalous customer. This appears to be a yellow rabbit, but the eyes are rendered in much higher detail, and appear red and bloodshot.

A customer appears with eyes that look a little too detailed in their rendering, complete with a weird bloodshot coloring. Thanks, I hate it. Shutter that so I don’t have to look at it anymore.

Order Status Reads ‘Flagged’

Screenshot showing an anomalous customer with a strange order slip. The order is listed as 'No.-4' and the status is listed as 'FLAGGED'.

On regular orders, the status, on the right of the order slip, should read ‘None’. If there’s something off, it may read as FLAGGED. That enough is reason to shut the shutters.

Order Number Looks Off

The order numbers are pretty simple. They start at #01 at the beginning of the shift and go upwards. If you start getting order numbers like… -4 for example, that is a reason to be concerned.

Guest Number Is Wrong

The guest number on the slip usually reads ‘1’. If it reads as something else, and there are no other guests with the customer… that’s definitely off.

Name Is Wrong

Screenshot from Anomaly Cafe showing the order board in the cafe's kitchen. The middle order has the 'name' CUST_MER CUST_MER.

I’m not sure I trust that there is a customer named CUST_MER CUST_MER.

FAQ

Lastly, we’ll talk about a few questions about anomalies you might be wondering about.

  • What happens if you serve an anomaly?
    • If you do give an anomalous customer food… well let’s just say that they think of what you give them as an appetizer. After eating the anomaly will show its true colours and start roaming around the cafe with big sharp teeth, ready to start chomping on real customers…. and you if you get too close.
  • What happens if I close the shutter on a normal customer?
    • They’ll be very unhappy. You’ll lose their money, and you’ll lose some cafe reputation, which means fewer Bells earned at the end of each shift.
  • I let an anomaly in by accident, what should I do?
    • This is a nuisance, but not the end of the world. Just go pick up the metal pan from the kitchen, head over, and give the creature a whack across the head. That should get rid of the problem. You can also use the Talisman item to banish it.
  • There are a few other things about Anomaly Cafe I’m confused about…
