Photo Roboto: A Timesnap Adventure is a mixture of multiple elements that do fit well together in the end. You’ll be clicking photos, capturing the unique behaviours of characters and environments. But you need to time travel to photograph the same elements in different timelines and solve puzzles out of them.
So, Monomyth Games has just announced the game, and it’s coming to PC through Steam in 2027. The studio’s previous game was Need to Know, a serious surveillance thriller sim that came out in 2018. Photo Roboto: A Timesnap Adventure is the studio’s first new game in eight years, and it’s going in a totally different stylistic direction.
What to do in Photo Roboto: A Timesnap Adventure?
You play as Peppino, a little roboto with some pretty big dreams. He’s trying to get his Timewarp Camera License and become a proper master photographer. So, he runs his own photography business on a colourful Italian-inspired island.
He takes jobs for locals, builds up his reputation, and ends up getting dragged into a mysterious curse along the way. As part of that, you can photograph the past, present, and future, so the camera itself becomes part puzzle-solving tool and part weird little time machine.
Need a picture of a chicken? You can apparently take a future photo of the egg. Want a proud sailing ship in your collection? Take a photo of its shipwreck in the past. On that note, take a look at the game below.
The island has a bunch of different districts, with Roman ruins, sunny beaches, leafy trails, hidden coves, and plenty of other places. You can stroll, run, jump, or take a boat around the island. Oh, and your best friends Sophia and Marco are also part of the business.
Speaking of other characters, there are over 100 colourful characters around the island, and that includes both humans and robotos. Everyone has their own story, and you’ll take on unusual requests and help solve the islanders’ problems
Photo Roboto: A Timesnap Adventure is coming to PC via Steam in 2027.
