The new Colossus Egg is pretty weird to obtain, given that none of its hatched hens will respawn Colossus Eggs. This makes the grind a little inefficient, but luckily, I’ve got you covered!
Find out how to get the Grow a Chicken Fighter Colossus Egg, and what chicks you’ll find inside in this indexing guide.
Let’s get into it.
Grow a Chicken Fighter Colossus Egg
First, let’s get into how to get the Colossus Egg.
- Classic Rooster: Hatch Nest Eggs until you get the Viking Rooster (Rare 2% chance).
- Viking Rooster: 70% chance to drop a Thunder Egg each lay cycle. Aim for a Static Chick (Common 14% chance)
- Static Chick: 100% chance to lay a Thunder Egg, has a shorter hatch time than the Viking Rooster. Aim for a Founder Rooster (Legendary 3% chance)
- Founder Rooster: 25% chance to lay a Colossus Egg every 3 Minutes and 59 seconds. (Time reduced if in a high-level incubation chamber)
The Founder Rooster is the best hen for farming Colossus Eggs. Unfortunately, it’s the hen with the highest Colossus Egg chance, and unlike other eggs, none of the chicks from the Colossus Index inherits the Colossus Egg hatching pool.
Note: You can also get them from the Chicken Boss fight in the Pits. If you reach a certain DMG threshold, your reward will include a Colossal Egg. Finishing before or after qualification will result in a different egg, however.

Incubation
Alongside the Colossus Egg, the game introduced the Incubation feature. How this works is that you insert a Hen, and based on their egg loot pool, you’ll passively generate eggs whilst online and offline.
Fortunately, the incubator level doesn’t reset when rebirthing, and all upgrades are one-time payments that gradually become more expensive. The more you invest, the more egg storage you’ll unlock.
Additionally, the longer you are online, the more luck boosters you earn. This makes rarer eggs (such as the Colossus) a little easier to farm, and may even impact hatching chances. The latter I’m not sure of, so take what I said with a grain of salt.
