Mister Scary: Where Are You? is heading to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Steam on October 2nd, 2026. Developed by CALGAMES and published by Ratalaika Games S.L., it’ll cost $5.99.
Mister Scary: Where Are You? is about Mr Scary
He heads into a strange and spooky land full of creepies, crawlies, dangerous creatures, tricky obstacles, hidden secrets, and challenging bosses to find his family. A retro platformer with a Halloween theme, it mimics the presentation of games for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
When Mr Scary ducks, he falls asleep and becomes completely immune to damage. You use his sleeping ability often as a gameplay tactic. The game has 6 scary stages, featuring different sub-areas, atmosphere, challenges, surprises, and unique and bizarre boss encounters. There are also 6 different scary bosses waiting at the end of the stages.
Mr Scary can defeat enemies by stomping on them, just like in classic platforming adventures, but there are also spicy and icy snacks scattered around. Eating a spicy snack lets him unleash fiery attacks and torch his foes, while icy snacks allow him to freeze enemies.
Scary tokens are also spread throughout the adventure, and collecting 15 of them earns Mr Scary an extra life. Meanwhile, a scary world map guides you through the adventure. On that note, catch a glimpse of the game below.
