Nyra and the Garden of Moros is an atmospheric, narrative-rich title that will surely remind you of Shadow of the Colossus. It shares the core concept of climbing and confronting massive, ancient giant guardians in a melancholic open world.
Resting Relic is the solo indie developer of the game. It’s an action-adventure coming to PC via Steam. The game follows Nyra, who heads into the remains of the Old Empire while searching for a cure to a spreading curse.
Unfortunately, she discovers that the Prison of Moros has been opened and its key has been shattered. Moros is an ancient god of doom who was sealed away long ago using twelve magical seals, with each seal entrusted to a gigantic Keeper created to protect it for all time.
The prison has held for ages, but now a dark corruption is spreading across the land and reaching the very creatures meant to keep the world safe. So, Nyra now has to travel across the broken empire, track down the twelve Keepers, climb their enormous forms and recover the seals to rebuild the prison.
Meanwhile, no two Keepers are alike. You have to discover their hidden domains, overcome their individual challenges, work out how to reach the seals they carry and uncover the corruption lurking within them.
Nyra and the Garden of Moros follows a strong bond between Nyra and Rama
Rama is Nyra’s loyal wolf companion, who’s been by her side since they were both young. He travels with Nyra through the lost empire, which is full of dark forests, desolate plains, dark caves, and crumbling halls.
The game is heavily dependent on choices, especially with its moral choice mechanics. Unlike the usual boss-slaughter games, it lets you choose between slaying the colossal Keepers or attempting to cleanse and save them. But there’s a catch with the latter as it increases the level of difficulty.
Nyra and the Garden of Moros will arrive on Steam for PC.
