Co-Op Sim About Running a Demonic Cult Grilluminati Launches Its Public Demo on Steam

Belgian indie studios Anaxanthia and Godspear Games have come up with a rather questionable business idea. Their upcoming game Grilluminati is all about running what looks like a perfectly normal grill restaurant while secretly operating a cult behind the counter.

Grilluminati launched its demo during Steam Next Fest, which is now available for everyone to try on Steam. A dark comedy co-op action game, its full release is planned for Q4 2026. It supports 2-4 players in online co-op, though solo play is supported as well.

The backdrop is that you and your fellow cultists need to serve one of three rival gods through bloodshed, worship, and increasingly demanding rituals. Your goal is to bring an ancient evil being into the world without letting your unsuspecting customers realise what’s happening.

You’ll need to scout the dining room, isolate your next victim, and collect whatever your chosen god demands before anyone catches on. Some rituals require specific body parts, while others call for a full human sacrifice.

And once you’ve finished, you’ll have to deal with the leftovers. Know what that means? Disposing of the evidence or, in a particularly grim bit of dark comedy, putting it back on the menu. Customers can notice missing people, blood trails, and strange behaviour. So, you have to keep everyone calm, finish your rituals, and make sure nobody catches you doing anything sus.

Grilluminati has three rival deities with unique challenges, rewards, and punishments. Rival gods can interfere in the middle of a shift, forcing everyone to adapt on the fly. On that note, take a look at the game below.

What’s in the Grilluminati demo?

There are four rituals available in the demo, spread across the three rival gods, and more than 10 ingredients. The devs have also added Spectator Mode, which lets you see through the eyes of your fellow players and follow the action while they work on bringing you back.
