In Slayers 2, Demon Horns play an important part in player progression; that is, if you’re playing as a human. Humans can unlock Breathing Styles in Slayers 2, all of which are inspired by those found in the Demon Slayer franchise. How to Get Slayers 2 Demon Horns
To get Demon Horns, you need to defeat the Hoyuzo boss, as well as the Hoyuzo Subordinates.
Hoyuzo Location: Where to Find the Waterfall Cave
These enemies are located within the Waterfall Cave at Bamboo Grove. While at Bamboo Grove, look for the waterfall, and then head inside.
If you’re struggling to locate the waterfall, look at the map to see the space between the markers for Bamboo Grove and the Mother Bear boss. Another tip is to follow the water at Bamboo Grove, as it eventually leads you to the waterfall.
As you explore the Waterfall Cave, you’ll find a plethora of Hoyuzo Subordinates to defeat in the hopes that they’ll drop Demon Horns. The further you go into the cave, the closer you get to the Hoyuzo boss, who also has a chance to drop Demon Horns.
Keep in mind that Demon Horns are not a guaranteed drop, so they may take a bit of time to farm, especially if you’re going for Wind Breathing, requiring 50 Demon Horns in total. To be more specific, the Hoyuzo Subordinates have a 30% chance to drop Demon Horns upon defeat, and the Hoyuzo Boss has a 50% chance.
What Are Demon Horns Used For?
Demon Horns are required when unlocking certain Breathing Styles, as long as you’re playing as a human. Not all Breathing Styles require Demon Horns, but those that do are as follows:
- Wind Breathing
- Requires 50 Demon Horns
- Water Breathing
- Requires 30 Demon Horns
- Serpent Breathing
- Requires 20 Demon Horns
- Insect Breathing
- Requires 15 Demon Horns
- Flame Breathing
- Requires 10 Demon Horns
The other 3 Breathing Styles have different requirements, but if you’re looking for Demon Horns, you probably don’t care about those for now.
Wind Breathing
- How to Unlock:
- Reach level 25 before heading to Icevail Valley to find the Wind Breathing Trainer. To explore this area, you need a lantern, which you can get from World Event Chests, Lost Chests, fishing, Schematic crafting, Ouwigahara Chests, Ouwigahara Caches, Yeti Demon, Dummy, Common Chests, Ice Chests, or by purchasing from Kuro

- Reach level 25 before heading to Icevail Valley to find the Wind Breathing Trainer. To explore this area, you need a lantern, which you can get from World Event Chests, Lost Chests, fishing, Schematic crafting, Ouwigahara Chests, Ouwigahara Caches, Yeti Demon, Dummy, Common Chests, Ice Chests, or by purchasing from Kuro
- Requirements:
- 5K Wen
- 50 Demon Horns
Water Breathing
- How to Unlock:
- Progress to level 25 and head to the bamboo forest near the starter area to find the Water Breathing Trainer. You need to swim underwater to find this NPCs location. The bit of water you need to swim in is located next to a house
- Requirements:
- 5K Wen
- 30 Demon Horns
Serpent Breathing
- How to Unlock:
- Get to level 25 and locate the Serpent Breathing Obari NPC on a mountain between the Bamboo Grove and Windy Peak

- 20 Demon Horns

Insect Breathing
- How to Unlock:
- Reach level 25 and head to the Butterfly Estate. Check the roofs to find the Insect Breathing Trainer
- Requirements:
- 3.5K Wen
- 15 Demon Horns
Flame Breathing
- How to Unlock:
- Once you get to level 25, make your way to the Forgotten Ruins. Look for a large house and climb to the rooftop to find the Flame Breathing Trainer. If you can’t find the house, look for where the Rengu boss spawns; it’s nearby

- 6K Wen
- 10 Demon Horns
