Co-Op Action Builder Gravhounds Drops a Limited-Time Steam Demo

We’re not talking about the tall greyhounds here, but rather Gravhounds. Yes, they are dogs, too, but bio-engineered, blue-collar space ones. Or you can also call them canine industrial workers. You play as these special dogs in the upcoming title Gravhounds, which has just dropped a Steam demo.

The Gravhounds are sent into extremely hostile alien territory. With the help of gravity-bending technology, they build a base and then come back home with the goods. The most dangerous planets offer the best materials, but the swarm escalates the longer you remain.

But you only have limited time to try out the Gravhounds demo

Indie developer and publisher Octopus Panic is running the Gravhounds demo on Steam from October 14th to 18th. The demo lets you explore seven planets spread across two solar systems. You get four playable Gravhounds to choose from: Selene, Zane, Dozer and Finn.

You can head out alone or team up with as many as three other players. Tasks include landing on dangerous planets, gathering materials, building up your operation, defending yourself against alien swarms and getting out with whatever you can carry.

There’s a special feature called Grav Beam, which lets you fling objects across the battlefield and launch enemies through the air. Transporting volatile materials with the Grav Beam might lead to unexpected Gravhound losses though!

Then there’s the Mod Deck Builder. Once you’ve unlocked a couple of Mods, you gain access to the system and can assemble a deck containing 10 common Mods and up to two Showstoppers from your existing collection. Reward pods will then draw exclusively from the Mods you’ve put into that deck during your expeditions.

You can check out the new Gravhounds demo on Steam on or before October 18th. The game launches next year for PC and Xbox.
