Pixel Lineage Oaths Tier List

S-TIER

  • Steady Hand
    • In the early Ranks, the Defence increase isn’t too notable, but once awakened, it has a 35% larger dodge window and +1 Energy per successful Block and Dodge. This is huge, as it makes negating all damage almost a guarantee, and the +1 Energy fuels your abilities, making this Oath also dip into attacking territory.
  • Wellspring
    • Increases Magic, and upon awakening, each battle begins with +2 Energy, and replenishes +2 Energy when defeating an enemy. This Oath basically allows the player to unleash their strongest attacks more frequently, which consequently means defeating enemies quicker and effectively, with little risk to themselves.

A-TIER

  • Bulwark
    • Bulks on defence and HP in exchange for a lower attack/magic (-12%). However, when hit, theres a 30% chance to reflect 40% of the incoming damage back onto the enemy, which somewhat makes up for the loss in damage.
  • Second Breath
    • Focuses on Health buffs, with an incredible ability at Rank 3 that lets you replenish 30% HP when below 30% HP. Second Breath makes all the difference between preserving a life and losing one.
  • Vampire
    • Increases max HP and replenishes HP equal to a percentage of the player’s DMG and Max HP per kill. A pretty solid clutch, especially when facing multiple enemies in one route.

B-TIER

  • Last Stand
    • Bulks Attack and HP, but reduces DEF significantly by 20%. However, when below 40% HP, enemies deal 30% less damage per hit. It’s a pretty good Oath overall, but makes the wearer a bit of a glass cannon, making it a risky selection.
  • Tempest
    • A speed-focused Oath that increases player movement and dodge, but reduces their DEF. At Rank III, a dodged attack will summon a Gale that inflicts an enemy with Chill, reducing their DMG. Overall pretty plain and average, and tailored best to speed-builds, such as Thieves.
  • Thunderclap
    • Boosts Attack and dazes enemies, skipping their first turn, giving you twice the chance to defeat them before they can advance. (Weakens Bosses instead). Overall pretty solid for DMG-focused builds.

C-TIER

  • Hunter
    • Similar to Glass Blade, except less of a repercussion for using this Oath. Increases Crit Chance, but reduces Max HP by 8%. When attacking, theres a 35% chance to poison enemies, dealing additional tick damage to whittle them down.
  • Glass Blade
    • Dabbles with Crit chances and awards crits with an inflicted blindness on enemies. However, this is one of the few Oaths that come at a cost, reducing Max HP by 20%, which is a massive loss if you’re not skilled with dodging.

D-TIER

  • Lucky Coin
    • Generates more Gold per run. Pretty niche and situational, as Gold is already pretty plentiful and easy to earn. If you’re grinding to afford something specific, or take to the Auction House, then this is the ideal Oath. Otherwise, it’s not all that special.
  • Wandering Scholar
    • Generates more EXP per run. This isn’t a bad thing, but it’s also pretty easy to level up, so this Oath feels almost wasteful to invest in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Oaths?

Oaths are a power buff that usually enhances one particular stat. These are great for covering bases where you’re vulnerable, or piling all stocks into building around one stat. You can only equip one Oath at a time, but after purchasing them, you can swap between them freely.

How to get Oaths

Open the Shrine of Oaths and purchase them using Knowledge. All Oaths start obscured, with their name and details covered behind a ???. After you buy them, you can then upgrade them up to Rank III.

How to get Knowledge?

Knowledge drops from Acts, so you’ll passively earn it as you play through the campaign. Additionally, you can get it from the Daily Login, Codes, or Robux transactions.
